How to Buy Gas in Dubai, Emirates and Petrochemical Jobs
The U.S. State Department has listed Dubai as one of the most polluted cities in the world, with almost 50 percent of the population reporting health problems.
Petrochemical plants in Dubai and the UAE, the world’s largest petro chemical production, have become a hot spot for human rights activists.
The U.N. Working Group on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination in the Processing of Chemical Products has identified the country as one where discrimination has continued to plague the economy, with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) the worst.
The UAE, which has a population of almost 4.7 million, is ranked fourth by the U.K. in the United Nations Human Development Report for 2017, with an unemployment rate of 17.6 percent.
More: Dubai and Dubai’s petro chemicals industries are the source of one of three major sources of pollution in the UAE’s capital city, Dubai, according to the World Health Organization.
The country’s most polluted areas are the Pearl Quarter, north of the city, and Dubai Beach, south of the capital.
Dubai’s petrogchemical industry, a $50 billion market in which most of the country’s exports are made, is among the most profitable in the region.
It produces more than 40 percent of world’s petrodollars, the bulk of which are used in making biofuels, chemicals and plastics.
In addition to its petro-chemical industry in Dubai alone, the country produces about 50 percent to 70 percent of its oil.
Dubay is also home to some of the largest petroglyphs on the planet, including one that is believed to be the oldest in the Middle East.
Dubail has also emerged as a magnet for Islamic State militants, who have seized control of parts of the UAE.
In November, Islamic State released a video purporting to show the beheading of the former emirate’s president, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The video also showed the beheadings of dozens of other prominent Emiratis, including the emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and his son.
In addition to the petro industries, the UAE has been hit by the spill of oil into the country, causing significant economic harm.
In January 2018, more than 1 million barrels of oil spilled into the Red Sea, the largest single oil spill in history.
The United Arab Emirate and Bahrain have also blamed each other for the spill.
Dubee’s petros chemical industries are part of a vast oil and gas sector that has seen a decline in activity since the U-turn from the previous administration, according the UNAIDS.
