How to spot the difference between petro chemical plant photos and petro chemicals
UAE, United Arab Emirates (UAE) (AP) The world’s most-expensive petro-chemical plant, Abu Dhabi’s Petrochem, is being built to produce petro lubricants at an estimated cost of more than $4 billion, according to a Gulf News report.
The Abu Dhabi Petroleum Corporation said on Wednesday that the facility would begin production of petrofluid by early 2019.
The project was funded by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirate.
The facility will be the second largest petro industrial project in the world, after the $2.6 billion construction of the petrogasification plant in Qatar, the Gulf News reported.
Abu Dhabi, the world’s second-largest oil producer, was the first oil exporter to export petro products in the Middle East after Saudi Arabia, according the report.
A U.S.-based Saudi-owned petroecosmics company, Saudi Aramco, was also awarded the project, the report said.
Abu Dua’s Petrol refinery and Petrochemical Plant, which was completed in 2011, will produce petrol and petrol-oil for use in cars, SUVs and trucks, the paper said.
