When Petrochemical CEO Chad Smith met with lawmakers, he said, “I’m not in favor of a carbon tax”
Petrochemical executive Chad Smith on Tuesday met with Republican lawmakers to discuss the company’s carbon emissions plan.
Smith said he supports the company lowering emissions as part of a plan to reduce its CO2 emissions by 40 percent by 2030.
“I’ve been a big supporter of a cleaner energy future and a carbon fee,” Smith said.
“But I’m not on board with a carbon cap and trade.”
Smith is one of the top executives at Petrochemical, a company that makes petrochemicals, including the chemical that is used in petro chemical disinfectants.
